Saying “yes” to Jesus is the most important decision that you will ever make. It is life-changing & life-giving. We want to give you a clear understanding about what salvation in Jesus Christ means.
1. UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE
We are all imperfect people and we are all sinners. No matter how hard we try, we still come up short. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
2. UNDERSTANDING WHAT WE DESERVE & WHAT GOD GIVES
Because of our sin, we are deserving of death. But God gives us a gift that overcomes death. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3. WHY DOES GOD OFFER US THIS GIFT?
God offers us this gift because He loves us so much. Words can’t even begin to describe how much He loves us. Romans 5:8 tells us, “God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” The penalty of our sin was death. But because God loved us so much, He sent his own Son to die in our place.
4. HOW CAN I GET THIS GIFT?
Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Wherever you are at, you can pray right now for Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to be Lord over your life! It’s the best decision that you will ever make.

Bible Study at The Altar is a time to dig deeper into God’s Word, grow in meaningful community, and seek the Lord together in prayer. As we study the Scriptures, we are strengthened and equipped to live out the gospel in our everyday lives.
